Daniel Tulino is a Professor-In-Residence and instructor for the Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Education Department. Mr. Tulino has served as a PIR for the past 4 years, spending his first 3 years at Quarter Mile Lane School in Bridgeton, New Jersey. He currently serves as the PIR at West Deptford Middle School in West Deptford, NJ.

He is also a PhD candidate in the Rowan College of Education with a specialization in Language & Literacy, and Urban Education.  He received his B.A., M.A., and M.F.A. in Professional and Creative Writing from William Paterson University. Mr. Tulino has also served as an ELA teacher and specialist in the Irvington Public Schools for ten years prior to coming to Rowan University. Further, he taught English Composition at Passaic County Community College, for five years.

Presently, his research focuses on illuminating inequities in English Language Arts curricula, as well as seeking to improve K-12 Black History education. He works to eliminate symbolic violence against students of color in English Language Arts classrooms, while partnering with local school districts to engage in more culturally responsive and sustaining practices.‚Äč
